How our Bali yacht charter desk works

One WhatsApp thread covers the entire booking. We start with three questions — when, how many guests, and what kind of day or voyage you have in mind — then match a vessel and crew from Komodo Luxury’s own fleet or its charter tiers. You receive a written plan the same day: vessel profile, itinerary, boarding point, inclusions, and payment terms. Nothing is confirmed until you approve it in writing.

Because the operating brands sit inside one group, the details that usually fall between suppliers stay in one hand. The same thread that books the boat also books the luxury transfer to the harbor, provisioning requests, a photographer, or a security detail when the guest list calls for one. Every charter we arrange is crewed and briefed to your plan before you arrive at the dock.

Day charters from Benoa and Serangan

Most private day cruises leave from Benoa Harbour, home of Bali Marina and the island’s established departure point for motor yachts. Serangan Island sits directly across the water — about fifteen minutes’ drive from Ngurah Rai Airport, between Sanur and Nusa Dua — which keeps boarding logistics short even on a tight schedule between hotel checkout and an evening flight.

Serangan is also where Bali’s marina picture is changing. Kura Kura Marina, inside the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone, has been under main construction since April 2025, with a reported capacity of about 146 yachts and a phased opening reported from 2026. As of July 2026 we treat Benoa as the default departure point and confirm berth availability at Kura Kura case by case as phases open. Popular day formats

Three formats cover most requests: a morning-to-afternoon cruise with swim and snorkel stops, a late-afternoon sunset run along the Benoa and Serangan waterfront, and a full-day crossing toward Nusa Lembongan with lunch served on board. Each departs crewed, fueled, and provisioned to your brief; dietary requirements, cakes, florals, and decorations are arranged in advance through the same concierge thread.

Nusa Penida and Lembongan day trips

The Nusa islands are the most requested single-day route from Bali. Through IndonesiaJuara Trip, our group runs curated Nusa Penida itineraries by speedboat or yacht: the west-coast clifftop viewpoints, snorkel stops in the channel, and a schedule built to avoid the busiest arrival windows at each site. Lembongan works well as a shorter, calmer alternative for families or groups that mix swimmers and non-swimmers.

Photography-led charters are common on this route. We time departures around light, hold the vessel at anchor for drone and deck shots, and can attach a professional crew from our group’s production house when the day doubles as a shoot.

Multi-day Komodo charters: VVIP, VIP, and Deluxe

Komodo National Park is where our group’s charter operation runs deepest. Komodo Luxury operates its own flagships — Komodo Prestige and Komodo Signature — and organizes its wider charter program into three tiers, so a group can choose the level of vessel and service that fits the trip.

VVIP

The top of the program: the highest vessel and service specification available, suited to owners’ parties, incentive groups, and guests who expect the standards of a top resort to continue at sea.

VIP

A private multi-day charter with a strong service specification and a wider choice of vessels and dates. The most requested tier for couples and small groups making a first Komodo voyage.

Deluxe

The entry point to private multi-day chartering in Komodo — a full private vessel and crew with straightforward inclusions, well matched to friends’ trips and families watching the budget without sharing a boat.

Most Komodo voyages board in Labuan Bajo after a short domestic flight from Bali. Komodo Luxury’s Bali-to-Komodo packages handle that connection end to end, and helicopter transfers can be added in Labuan Bajo for guests who want to skip road time entirely. Days in the park are built around its anchorages: ranger-accompanied walks to see the Komodo dragons, snorkeling, beach landings, and evenings at anchor. Boat parties are also part of the program for celebration charters.

Raja Ampat expeditions

For longer expeditions, our group charters phinisi and expedition vessels in Raja Ampat, including Misool routes, through Komodo Luxury and IndonesiaJuara Trip. The region is remote and vessels are positioned seasonally, so these itineraries are planned further ahead than Komodo trips. Divers, underwater photographers, and travelers building a once-in-a-decade trip should open the conversation with us early — available weeks in high season are limited and allocated well in advance.

Events, proposals, and parties on board

A chartered deck is one of the most private venues on the island. We plan proposals with the crew briefed in advance and a photo and film team from our group’s production house positioned before the moment; we run birthday and milestone dinners with dedicated staffing; and we arrange boat parties through Komodo Luxury for larger celebrations. Where the guest list requires it, Bali Premium Trip provides private security details on a 24/7 basis, including superyacht security. One desk holds the vessel, the vendors, and the timeline, so nothing on the water is improvised.

Getting to the boat

Charter days go wrong on land, not at sea, so we run the ground plan through our own brands. Arriving guests can be met with VIP airport fast-track at Ngurah Rai and driven straight to Benoa — a short run from the airport — with luggage handled and the crew told exactly when to expect you. Departing guests can board a sunset cruise after checkout and still make an evening flight, because the same desk that holds the boat also holds the car and watches the clock.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead should I book a Bali yacht charter?

Day cruises from Benoa can often be arranged within a few days, subject to vessel availability. July, August, and the year-end holidays book earlier. Multi-day Komodo charters should be planned weeks ahead, and Raja Ampat expeditions further out still, because vessels are positioned seasonally.

Do Komodo charters depart from Bali?

Most board in Labuan Bajo after a short domestic flight from Bali. Komodo Luxury’s Bali-to-Komodo packages cover the whole connection — flight guidance, transfers, and boarding — so the trip reads as one itinerary from your Bali villa to the deck. Helicopter transfers in Labuan Bajo can be added.

What is the difference between the VVIP, VIP, and Deluxe tiers?

They are Komodo Luxury’s charter service levels. VVIP is the highest vessel and service specification, VIP is a strong private-charter specification with wider availability, and Deluxe is the entry point to a fully private multi-day charter. We recommend a tier after hearing your group size, dates, and expectations.

Is Kura Kura Marina open yet?

Not fully. Main works have been under way since April 2025, capacity is reported at about 146 yachts, and a phased opening has been reported from 2026. As of July 2026 we treat Benoa Harbour as the default departure point and confirm any Kura Kura berthing case by case at booking.

How much does a charter cost?
