How our concierge desk builds the day
A shopping day in Bali fails for predictable reasons: traffic between districts eats the afternoon, drivers wait in the wrong place, and purchases pile up in a hot back seat. Our desk removes each of those problems before the day starts. Tell us who is traveling, what you want to bring home, and how many hours you can give us. We confirm the route the evening before, sequence the stops so you are never doubling back through Denpasar traffic, and lock in one driver for the whole day.
Every tour includes a chauffeured vehicle arranged through our group’s operating brands — from a Toyota Alphard or Vellfire up to a Mercedes GLS 450 or Rolls-Royce Ghost, detailed on our luxury car rental in Bali page. The driver stays with the vehicle at every stop, so bags go straight into a locked, air-conditioned car and you walk into the next boutique with empty hands. Guests who want advice inside the stores, not just between them, can add a personal shopper who joins the vehicle for the day.
Half-day itineraries: four to five hours, one district

The Ubud artisan day

New for 2026: The Grand Outlet opening itinerary
The Grand Outlet – Kura Kura Bali has a reported opening date of 31 July 2026, per Bali Discovery and bali.live. It sits on Serangan Island inside the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone, between Sanur and Nusa Dua and about 15 minutes by car from Ngurah Rai Airport — which makes it the easiest major shopping destination on the island to reach from either the airport or the southern resorts. The project is planned around roughly 150 stores across three floors plus a semi-basement, in open-air Balinese-village architecture with a waterfront promenade. The official brand and store list has not yet been announced; we will update our itineraries the moment it is.

Arrival-day version
we collect you at the airport — with optional VIP airport fast-track on landing — and route through the outlet before hotel check-in, since it sits almost on the way to Sanur and Nusa Dua.
Dedicated half-day
hotel pickup, three to four hours on site, driver holding purchases at the vehicle, then return or a Sanur add-on.

Private shopping tour Bali: artisan route or mall route?
Most guests fit one of two profiles, and the honest answer is that the routes reward different travelers. This is how we frame the choice at the desk.

Neither route is the upgrade of the other. Guests furnishing a villa lean artisan; guests topping up a wardrobe lean mall; the mixed full-day exists because most parties contain one of each.
Small groups and families: the logistics that matter
Group shopping days succeed or fail on vehicle choice and pacing, so we settle both before quoting.
Vehicles by party size. Couples and parties of three or four ride in an Alphard or Vellfire, which carries a full day of purchases without touching the cabin space. Larger parties move to a Toyota HiAce Premio, and for groups that want to split routes — half to Ubud, half to the malls — we run a two-vehicle convoy with one WhatsApp thread coordinating both drivers.
Families. Child seats are confirmed at booking, not on the curb. We build the route around nap windows, keep stroller-friendly stops together, and schedule the artisan segment in the morning when workshops are cool and quiet. On mall days the driver holds the stroller and bags between stops so parents are never carrying both a child and the shopping.
Longer stays. Guests on multi-week stays often book a standing arrangement: the same driver, two or three shopping mornings across the stay, purchases accumulating at the villa. That continuity is simpler to arrange than three separate bookings and means the driver already knows your preferences by day two.

How far in advance should I book a private shopping tour?
Two to three days is comfortable for most dates. For the weeks following The Grand Outlet’s reported 31 July 2026 opening, and for peak season around August, we recommend booking as soon as your dates are fixed. Same-day requests are often possible — message our desk on WhatsApp and we will confirm what is available.
Is The Grand Outlet – Kura Kura Bali open yet?
As of late July 2026, Bali Discovery and bali.live report an opening date of 31 July 2026, with construction reported at 92 percent complete earlier in the cycle. The official brand list has not been announced. We are taking bookings for opening-period visits now and will adjust any itinerary if the date moves.
Can we combine artisan villages and malls in one day?
Yes. The mixed full-day runs Celuk and Mas in the morning, lunch in Ubud, and one southern mall stop on the return. It needs eight to ten hours door to door, so it suits guests staying in Sanur, Seminyak, or Nusa Dua better than those based in Uluwatu, where we would suggest two shorter days instead.
What does a tour cost?
Rates depend on vehicle, hours, party size, and whether a personal shopper joins the day, so we quote each itinerary individually — rates on request via WhatsApp. Quotes include the vehicle, driver, fuel, and parking; your only variable is what you buy.
Do you provide a guide inside the stores, or only a driver?
The standard tour includes the driver and route management. If you want someone alongside you in the boutiques — advising on pieces, handling negotiation at artisan studios, managing sizes and holds — add a personal shopper. Most solo travelers and couples on artisan routes take this option; most mall-day guests find the driver sufficient.
Can you ship large purchases home?
Yes. Carvings, furniture, and bulk orders from the artisan route can be crated and shipped through arrangements we make on your behalf — see our shipping-to-home service for how documentation and delivery work. Smaller items are packed for your checked luggage the same afternoon.
